My name is André Crone, aka Cronix on the forum here. I am an enterprise architect during my day job and currently responsible for the architecture of a large SAP implementation here in the Netherlands. I have been an Oracle consultant for over ten years before I became an architect. I have studied bio-informatics. I programmed a lot of C/C++ during that time. That was mainly for artificial intelligence simulations (neural networks, genetic algorithms).
I am a very enthusiastic under water photographer and my images and stories have been published in many magazines all over the world. You can find my images on my website: http://www.elysia.nl. I also started a wildlife and traveling site called EarthIllustrated.
The OpenMoco initiative has really impressed me. I am very enthusiastic about it. I didn't know what an Arduino was before I found this site. My desk is now covered with six Arduino's and two TouchShield Slide shields.
My two contributions to the OpenMoco initiative are the MicroEngine and a stand alone hand-held controller for the OMTLE based on an TouchShield Slide OLED display. I am using the micro engine for a while now. The TouchShield Slide development needs a bit more work. The user interface is working, I only need to add the communication to the OMTLE. I hope to have a working version of the Slide controller at the end of this year.
