I discovered this forum by "accident" :)

I have an interest in focus stacking and had thought of using an old drive mechanism from an 8" floppy drive (the stepper and the shafts)- IF I could find one now :) I used to have several 8" floppy drives taking up space in my garage, but thew them away because THEN I had no use for them.

You only discover you really need something when you throw it away :)

As I am time poor at the moment I'll just be lurking around and reading all the good things the other members are pursuing.
