Hi guys, I'm newbie about alectronic componets.
I need our help.
Can I motorize one of this: http://www.igus.com/_wpck/wmv/global/MontagehinweisDryLinW.wmv
- Only motorize it no time lapse control becasue I control my cacamera by an external intervalometer.
- Which kind of motor I need? And gearing?
- How can I control the motor? I don't have any knowledge about computer programming. Can I control it by simple Arduino and precompiled software?
Thank you very much for help.
P.s. I'm italian sorry for my bad english.

You can then also get the motor flange (P/N SAX-104005), and an appropriate motor to match to it. I believe the flanges only come in NEMA sizes, so unless you want to make your own motor mount, you'll probably end up going with a stepper motor.
See the TimeLapse Engine and Slim (see software link on left side bar) for a ready-to-run (with a moderate learning curve =) software. BTW, it already handles camera control and provides SMS capabilities, which you won't be able to do with a separate intervalometer =)
