I am building an MX2 from scratch and like a lot of you, I'm sure, I have been searching high and low for rubber pads for the mx2 buttons. Does anyone have a source for these? Spark fun seems to be the only place with only one design to choose from. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, there are no stock button pads.
We had to have custom silicone pads molded. You could make a simple mold using two sizes of drill bits (or one drill bit and a counter-sink), to make a button and retaining base shape - and then either use silicone or hard plastic from an art store. Or, I can get you a set =)
