1) When daisy-chaining two MX2s to control more than two motors do you set up the moves on both MX2s? How would you designate which is master and slave? Does the master just send a start signal to the slave and then both run wild, or is there further synchronization?
2) You mention that a program similar to Slim will be available. Will it open up features from the original branch of the OME on the MX2- specifically key framing? When can we expect it? (ballpark-weeks? or months?) I’m just curious, I know y’all are concentrating on the big roll-out right now.
Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike, 1) You'd have to set
Hi Mike,
1) You'd have to set each up individually, it would just send a sync signal to the remote unit to start at the same time.
2) After release, maybe weeks, maybe months - unknown at this point, the first focus is to get it out and working for people. The MX2 stuff is _not_ meant to replace the TLE. It is actually designed to be controlled by the TLE when the full-blown hardware is released. MX2 is more like the "little brother", and also the bridge to DC motor control from the TLE. It's supposed to be much simpler, and have fewer features - there will be dedicated hardware for the TLE, including 4-axis stepper controller, and a dedicated hardware design with the atmega chip, everything - no arduino needed. (But still compatible with the arduino ide)
So, it won't have keyframing capabilities within the MX2, but the TLE will be able to control it (and thereby do keyframing) at some point in the not-so-distant future =)
We've (internally) locked the feature-set down (there are only two more being added for initial release), so features like the serial protocol, joystick control, etc. will come as an update after general availability of the hardware.

Excellent! Thank-you,
