Hi,
just signed up. Visited the site before and at that time was a bit lost and overwhelmed by the amount of info but it seems to have improved a lot!
Anyway now that I have joined up I started reading around in the forum. It seems most people are from the states but I spotted at least some names that might indicate otherwise and saw that someone was from Australia. So there seems to be some spread around the world.
The main issue for me personally has been to find material for building the mechanical parts of a dolly. I'm an electronics and computer guy so that might be the reason. I saw that there is already a list of vendors for parts in the US but for us elsewhere it is usually quite expensive to get stuff shipped from the states. So I thought it would be good to have a section on the site where people could at least briefly present themselves so we could start figuring out if there are close by or not, and find out people expertise etc and we could start collaborate building the stuff!
So just before creating that section I wanted to here if ppl think this is a good idea or not needed?

Hi Kalle, I think it's a fine
Hi Kalle, I think it's a fine idea, you think it should be an area in the forum? I'd like to add some overseas companies, but to be honest, I haven't really done business with many of them, and I'd hate to recommend somebody that turned out to be bad!
We have a number of people on here from Europe and Australia.

Regarding companies and recommendation. As long as people explicit mention what kind of relationship they have had with the company I do not see any problem to even list companies one have just found through google. Of course it is even better if someone has had any previous experience but also just find what options one has can be very valuable.
